Team Leader Production Planning
Volvo Construction Equipment (VCE) is among the world’s leading manufacturers of articulated haulers and wheel loaders, and one of the world’s foremost manufacturers of excavation equipment, road development machines and compact construction equipment. The EU Depot, located in Groot-Ammers, is the main distribution point of 5-ton to 70-ton excavator’s product line in Europe. The machines, produced in the Volvo plant in Changwon South-Korea, are transported to the EU Depot were they are being modified to fit customers’ requirements. After modification, machines will be transported to VCE dealers in Europe. For the Depot in Groot-Ammers we are looking for a Team leader production planning who likes to work in a small team and act as a real team player. The department is responsible for planning of production orders for excavators and daily communication with all stakeholders in process from order to delivery.
The production planning department consists of 2 production planners, and you as team leader. You start the day by making a daily production status report to make sure everything is running on schedule. You set team priorities for the daily order processing and initiate a production meeting with the modification partner (VTS) to identify potential risks. After the meeting you determine the slots for future orders from the dealers and analyze data for monthly KPI reporting. Meanwhile your team is handling questions from the order desk in Konz (Germany) to make changes in configuration and delivery time and checks for available material and capacity. With information you gathered from your team and other stakeholders you make sure capacity planning for production volumes is up to date. You identify wrong configuration and setup issues in the system and create root cause analysis for missed production. You get energized by making sure all stakeholders comply with their agreements and attending on new projects, improvement activities and the wide range of activities inspires you.
Qualifications and personal profile
• Secondary vocational education in logistics or supply chain management;
• About 5 years working experience in similar position;
• Devoted and decisive team leader with technical insight;
• Fluent in English and Dutch is a prerequisite;
• Knowledge of ERP (SAP) and MS Office, knowledge of SAP Production modules is an advantage;
• Knowledge of excavation equipment is an advantage.
