Volvo Trucks Service & Customer Quality is globally responsible to drive uptime, customer productivity and efficient workshop services ensuring highest positive impact on customers’ bottom line and maximizing our parts and services earnings. Parts & Service Contracts is part of the Service & Customer Quality organization and consists of 5 global functions: Parts Product Management, Parts Pricing, Parts Business Development, Sales Channel and Service Contracts.

Within Parts & Service Contracts we are now posting the global position as a Director Service Contracts. As a Director Service Contracts you will be able to lead and develop a highly engaged and professional team in maximizing the global potential of service contracts. In this role you own the strategy, processes, tools and the portfolio management to ensure global success of the service contract business.
You will be the spider in the net, working closely with Volvo Trucks Sales Areas and markets, but also a wide range of other stakeholders to develop the service contract offer to support both the service-market business and truck sales. You will also be part of the Parts & Service Contract Management Team where you are an active contributor and share input and ideas.
The position is based in Beesd, The Netherlands, involves frequent travelling and reports to the VP, Parts & Service Contracts.
Main activities and responsibilities
As a Director Service Contracts, you will work very closely with the sales areas and markets to develop the global strategy, processes, tools and the contract offering. You will also collaborate with many central functions in Volvo Trucks, Group Trucks Technology, Volvo IT and other relevant stakeholders to develop the offer, where connectivity and advanced analytics are creating an array of new possibilities to manage and further customize the offer for the future.
In this position you lead a team of 25 people, working with business development, business support and portfolio management. The service contract team in Beesd is the centre of excellence for service contracts within the Volvo Group and provides support to Renault Trucks service contract business and advices other Business Areas in the Group. In this role you are the owner of the preferred way of working, technical price setting, risk management and the business manual related to service contracts and via training, governance and analytics, you secure a healthy service contract portfolio and long-term profitability. Through the portfolio management team you are responsible for the daily operation and management of a significant part of the global service contract portfolio. Your team also delivers monthly reporting, forecasts, regular reviews and follow-up, covering all stakeholders.

The role is a leading leader position and requires a strong and inspiring leader with significant commercial automotive experience and demonstrated ability to deliver concrete business results as well as strategic and operational direction. As you will have direct impact on our customer offer, it is important that you are customer oriented with documented experience of contributing to customer success and customer satisfaction. If you worked in an international environment, have excellent communication skills in English and if you adapt quickly to new challenges, this position is for you.
Additionally, we also see you having following qualifications:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Marketing/Finance or automotive related Engineering. Master’s degree, especially MBA, is highly preferred.
• Results demonstrated in +10 years in automotive industry with experience in vehicle sales, automotive financing/leasing or commercial aftermarket.
• Delivery of results demonstrated in growth of a business portfolio, working with sales regions, markets and/or retail sales networks.
• Proven leadership skills from multi-cultural context
